Yakiniku, in Japanese, means to barbecue!
The owners of FUTAGO were born as twin brothers in Osaka, the most popular city for yakiniku in Japan. Futago means "twins" in Japanese.
Establishing their first FUTAGO restaurant in the year of 2010 in Tokyo, the twins developed a unique "FUTAGO style" concept.
Now, FUTAGO is all over Japanese media including TV programs and magazines, expanding more than 40 locations worldwide including Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and here in New York.

Our aim as a restaurant is to expand more locations, spreading the Yakiniku culture around the world to make it a household name - akin to that of sushi.

FUTAGO is Japanese style BBQ SteakHouse established in Tokyo in 2010. We developed a unique FUTAGO style ; concept, which is selecting the best quality meats and serving it in smaller portions so that more varieties are enjoyed. We operate over 80 locations worldwide, including Hong Kong and New York to spread the Yakiniku culture around the world. There is a 15-minute grace period for your reservation. In order to satisfy as many customers as possible, we would like to keep our dining hours to a 90 min maximum. At FUTAGO New York, We consider ourselves a unique and high-end Japanese SteakHouse where our customers come to enjoy and celebrate their dining experience in a casual, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere. Our Menu includes Traditional Japanese Cuisine dishes, A5 Wagyu cuts imported from the best Japanese Wagyu breeders, a curated selection of wines, and over 50 brands of Japanese sake. *NOTE We do take the practice of social distancing in order to keep an healthy dining space for customers & employees.
