About the Business

Momoya opened in the summer of 2005 in New York's Chelsea neighborhood. A Japanese restaurant with a casual, minimalist design, Momoya offers new preparations of traditional Japanese cuisine with a focus on sushi and sashimi. We greatly appreciate all of the loyal customers who have helped to make Momoya become a local mainstay.

In 2007, Momoya opened its second location on the Upper West Side. In the short time since its opening, we have created a niche for ourselves in the uptown community with regular UWS and non-local customers alike, and even earning accolades from the Michelin Guide in 2009 and 2010.
