Williamsburg salon-slash-beauty-store Woodley and Bunny closed abruptly, leaving its loyal clients without a go-to for bang trims and small-batch sea salt spray. And rather than send out applications, two of its former stylists (more specifically, Tommy Lovell and Elisabeth Leary, a husband and wife duo who met at Woodley and Bunny) decided to open their own neighborhood salon.

Aptly called Whiteroom, the new, ultra-minimalist South 6th Street space expands on Woodley and Bunny's salon-meets-retail concept with an in-house apothecary, which Lovell and Leary have stocked with hard-to-find hair and skincare brands like Leonor Greyl, R+Co., Smith and Cult, Mr. Smith, Province Apothecary, Grown Alchemist, Joya, Christophe Robin and Flynn and King,
