About the Business

Taqueria was born from a Cool Chile Co stall on Portobello Road, where we served tacos and agua frescas to the Mexican starved crowd of Notting Hill.
In 2005 we decided to get off the street, put a roof over our heads and extend our offering.
Today we are proud of the provenance of our ingredients from free range meat, sustainable fish and organic milk and cream to Cool Chile Co's fresh corn tortillas, Mexican dried chillies, herbs and spices.
We roast, toast and charcoal grill ingredients to make salsas, sauces and taco fillings for a super tasty 'al carbon' flavour.

Taquería is a cafe specialising in Mexican tacos with traditional fillings on our own soft corn tortillas made daily by our big tortilla machine "El Monstruo", right here in London. We make a mean, hand-shaken margarita and pour a variety of 100% blue agave tequilas, mezcales and Mexican beers. We offer Mexican chiles, sustainable fish, free-range eggs, chicken and pork, plus organic milk and double cream to make tacos a la plancha, al carbón or en cazuela, plus lunch specials such as chilaquiles, enchiladas and huevos rancheros.

We also serve a selection ceviches, tostadas, plus changing specials menu. If you are feeling thirsty, we make a mean hand-shaken margarita and pour a variety of 100% blue agave tequilas, mezcales, micheladas and wines.
