Mike McCarthy started out specializing in custom finish carpentry in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut area in 2000. Since then Mike branched out on his own and formed Marmac Construction Inc. in 2009. We expanded our services to general contracting work with home improvements and renovations and relocated to the Raleigh area in 2012. We do custom built ins, crown moulding, closets, pantrys, storage units, shelving, media units, home offices, kitchens, bathrooms. & decks. We finish third floor walk up storage areas as well as basements. We also install custom windows and doors.

Mike started out doing carpentry work in Ireland in 1997 where he learned his trade. He later moved to the US in 2000 working for an Irish contractor in the New York City and Connecticut area.  There he learned just about everything needed in the renovation process.  He did commercial work in many bars, restaurants, and office buildings in NYC.  He also did extensive residential renovations and improvements in the NYC, CT, & NJ area.  He branched off on his own and started Marmac Construction Inc in 2009.  He moved his family and business to the triangle area in 2012 where he is enjoying a greater quality work & life balance.
