About the Business

Carrello means cart in Italian - hence the carts rolling through the dining room carrying small, unexpected bites when we first opened. Carrello was founded in October of 2019 as a more casual, a la carte space across the street from the Lockwoods' sister restaurant - Altura, which serves a set menu. Now, the restaurant employs the Italian tradition that delicious food can be simple by enhancing flavors through creativity and care. Carrello's fresh pastas, whole roasted meats, seasonal seafood and family style menu option allows diners to create a meal that matches their occasion.

Established in 2019.

Business Owner

Nathan L. (Business Owner)

Chef Nathan Lockwood opened Carrello with his wife Rebecca to combine the flavors of Italy with the vibrant and creative style of the restaurant. Carrello was opened across the street from the Lockwood's restaurant Altura as a more casual alternative with the intent to share the seasonal, and familial generosity of Italian dining with guests. The diversity of the menu, creative flavors, and variety of dining options reminds us eating out can be interactive and playful.
