About the Business

The original building was built in 1905. With it's historic charm, the building itself has been renovated and restored many times and has been a bar since 1940. From memory it has been Burns', Empty Pockets, Cell Block, Sky Box Bar and Grill and Sly Fox Pub, it has since become Wiley Gunters, a great neighborhood bar.

Established in 2012.

Business Owner

Wyatt M. (Business Owner)

I've spent much more than half of my life in the restaurant industry, and it is my passion. From scooping ice cream at age 10 in my parents gelato shop to waiting tables at Red Lobster and bartending my way through Virginia Tech, I've seen every aspect of this industry. I opened Wiley Gunters in 2012 after spending 5 years as General Manager and sweat equity owner of Sly Fox Pub. My incredible staff and I have spent the last 8 years fine tuning our food menu and beer list to be the best it can be and suit every palate. I am very hands on, you'll see me bartending, waiting tables and cooking, so be sure to say hi!
