About the Business

We have always been a family company. We started off as a framing contractor, building homes. When the recession hit, we figured if people weren't building new homes, they would want to remodel the one that they had.We were able to hire the talent we needed and begin crafting a company designed around finishing projects with high quality products, at breakneck speeds, for a reasonable cost.

We currently our the local leaders in our industry at what we do. We've been fortunate enough to be featured on KSL-TV as well as the national radio talk show, "Remodelers on the Rise".

Honesty-We are not a perfect contractor. Please read our reviews. Even the negative ones. Some are real and some we believe are from our competitors.When you do what we do for a living, there is always going to be ways to improve, systems to implement, and processes to improve. Todd Cella became the President of Utah Basement Company in January 2014. He grew up in the construction industry working for his dad's finish carpentry company. He is a single-father of four children. He is a 3 time cancer survivor. (B and T Cell Lymphomas as well as Melanoma-Jan 2013 til May 2013)  He enjoys traveling anywhere as well as  and doing anything with his children. He is also a partner in Gauze Fabric Store, Sojo Fabric, Sugar House Swaddles, as well as Ari and Ella USA Distributing.
