When The Upper Crust first launched in 2001, our distinctive name conveyed a bold message: "we're not the same old Boston pizzeria." Our unique pizzas and the unconventional spirit of our team validated that message, infusing Upper Crust with a soul that customers could taste. While “pizza traditionalists” clung to century-old recipes, we dared to experiment with flavors like BBQ, feta, and pesto long before they became pizza staples. Why? Because our passion lies in creating innovative twists on beloved classics, not in adhering to tradition, old-world ovens, or ancestral recipes. Since the times of y2k and low-rise jeans, we've been pushing the boundaries of pizza and chicken, and according to our loyal customers, we're pretty darn good at it. They even say our pizza and chicken are "sorta famous." That suits us just fine.

Upper Crust in Beacon Hill: where our tradition is all about celebrating the unique and embracing flavors that take you on a journey. Our Boylston BBQ pizza is a fan favorite on Charles Street. The Nashville Hot Tenders bring a spicy kick to your plate, while The Charles Pizza (is it named after Charles Street or the Charles River? We may never know) brings a delicious blend of cheeses to the table. And, of course, the Beacon Hill Buffalo pizza pays homage to our iconic location with a fusion of buffalo sauce, chicken and blue cheese .
