About the Business

The Power House at Highland & Side Door CrossFit opened its doors in 2013, after many years of dedicated training in schools, domes, athletic facilities, corporate businesses, and even garages. We are a family-owned and family-run business who love what we do.

Our owner and head coach, Max Lipset, comes from a collegiate and professional soccer background, and our programs continue to come from a basis in sports-specific excellence and customization. We have all the best certifications- CSCS, Athletic Trainer, CrossFit Level I, CrossFit Kids, CrossFit Olympic Lifting, CrossFit Endurance, CrossFit Mobility & Movement, CrossFit Coaches Prep, Functional Movement Screen (FMS) I and II, Health Coaching, and Masters in Education.

Max Lipset is the owner and head coach of the Power House at Highland and Side Door CrossFit. Max got hooked on strength and conditioning during his collegiate and professional soccer career. He holds some of the highest credentials in the industry, including the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), numerous CrossFit certifications, and the FMS. Max brings a unique approach to his training and programming. Combining olympic lifting with sports-specific drills, yoga movements, mobility work, and speed and agility training, every workout with Max is different.
