Melinda opened Switchblade Salon in August, 2005 and she has been an established and renowned stylist and makeup artist in Phoenix, Arizona for 23 years. Both experienced artists and Arizona natives, Crick and Pierceall are dedicated to high-fashion and innovative style, offering clients a "hairstyle that matches lifestyle."

Switchblade Salon is ultramodern, progressive, and avante-garde. The salon presents a private and personal space with ambient energy, vintage flair, and an edgy vibe. Melinda Crick-Genier an Arizona native, is the accomplished owner and stylist of Switchblade Salon, which she established in August, 2005 at the age of 27. Crick earned her Cosmetology degree as a graduate of Carlos Valenzuela Academy in Scottsdale, AZ at the age of 18. She is committed to progressive and high-fashion hairstyle and color, and, as a result, she has maintained and challenged her growth in the industry, having completed advanced training and texturizing classes over the past 23 years. Melinda's commitment to art extends beyond innovative hair and makeup; she is an accomplished jeweler, specializing in beading, resin pendants with Arizona insects, and metal-smithing. Crick's flair for the avant-garde is prevalent in her formal wedding updo's and veils, custom-vintage hair accessories, and fantasy hair and makeup for Phoenix local magazines and innovative publications.
