About the Business

Stanley Marketplace is an urban gathering place and community hub in what used to be Stanley Aviation, once the largest employer in Aurora. Bob Stanley was the first American to fly a jet plane and an inventor of several kinds of ejection seats; he built his company here in northwest Aurora in 1954. After decades of thriving industry, the building fell into disuse. Now we are honoring Bob Stanley's innovative spirit by turning his building into one of the country’s biggest urban marketplaces.
