About the Business

When it opened in Lincoln Center in 1981 under the vigilant direction of Master Chef T.T. Wang, Shun Lee fast became a favorite with theater goers and locals alike.

A startling revelation in shiny black lacquer, Shun Lee exudes Asian chic with grand authority. From a bevy of alabaster monkeys hanging playfully from the bar, to the glowing red eyed dragon wrapped around the dining room, these sculpted creatures create aesthetic drama.

The adjacent Shun Lee Café opened in 1986, the first restaurant outside of Chinatown to offer dim sum presented on rolling carts and a variety of smaller 'street food' type dishes to please any discerning palate.

Established in 1981.
