About the Business

Shampoo has been in Fairfield since we opened in 2006. We figured the downtown core had its share of good salons, so we opted to open just outside Cook Street Village. We hoped to bring fantastic service, great style and a comfortable experience to our clients (and I think we've succeded). Since then we've become a Bumble and bumble exclusive salon and renovated to expand the number of stations. Most of our team has been with us for the long haul (in fact, Marylou and Laura have been at Shampoo since the beginning), but we do have some new faces since our renovations as well.

Our staff have extensive advanced training and experience in both men's and women's cutting, colouring styling and updos. We are a Bumble and bumble exclusive salon, which affords us the opportunity to train with their amazing team in New York (and other places). We now use La Biosthetique colour (simply amazing results) and they also offer an array of advanced education for our team. We are intent on offering the best service and atmosphere in town.

Jen and her partners, Dylan and Laurie, got into the salon business when they opened Shampoo's doors in 2006.  Prior to this, both Jen and Laurie built up their considerable expertise at various hair salons in town (Laurie starting her career in the 90s, and Jen soon after).  Jen and Dylan were first introduced to Laurie when she became their stylist in 1996; in fact, Jen names Laurie as her mentor and inspiration for becoming a hairdresser in the first place.
