About the Business

After years of educating and working in Manhattan top salons, Lola decided to take a more home grown approach to life, and brought hair artistry to Brooklyn. In 2015, she opened Salon Lola, a cozy salon in her own community, Lefferts Gardens. Lola feels deeply honored and proud to be a small business owner, as well as a hairdresser.

Lola’s goal is to provide fine art in a friendly boutique setting. After all, hair is like no other artistic medium! Our hair is the crown that we wear on our heads every day, and the first thing that many people notice about us!

Lola Lorraine is a master level hair veteran with over twenty years of NYC salon experience. Before opening her own salon eight years ago, Lola spent several years working for Schwarzkopf Professional, the hair color brand she’s used throughout her career. She did extensive color specialty training with Schwarzkopf, and worked as a traveling educator. She also had opportunity to work industry events with their national team, learning from visionary mentors who challenged her to do showcase quality work. Her makeovers with color and extensions have been featured in publications like Nylon, People and New York Magazine.
