OKC Improv was founded in December, 2009 by Marcy Fleming, Buck Vrazel, Clint Vrazel, and Eric Webb.

After nearly a decade of hosting improv classes and shows wherever we could find a stage, we landed in the heart of the Plaza District in 2018 bringing the laughs with us.

OKC Improv is Oklahoma's premier non profit performance showcase and teaching institution dedicated to the art of improvisational comedy and theater. In addition to producing regular shows featuring the best local and regional improv acts, we work to raise awareness and understanding of improv among audiences and practitioners through publicity, outreach, and education including ongoing classes and workshops. Shows are Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30pm and 9:30pm. Each show is 90-120 minutes and features at least 2 different acts. We feature performers from all over Oklahoma and the surrounding region. Tickets are $12 for one show or 2 shows for $20. and $5 for improvisers and improv students. Admission is FREE if you're celebrating your birthday with us! Advance purchase of tickets is suggested as most shows sell out.

Kendon Lacy serves as the Executive Director for OKC Improv. He can be seen performing with troupes Kyle & Kendon, Kyle & Kendon: The Musical, YOUsical: The Improvised Musical, Boy Toys and his rotating duo show Improv Spouses. He formally served as OKC Improv Program Director and currently also serves an instructor. He has also co-developed the musical improv education program at OKC Improv. He has performed at the Chicago Improv Festival, New York Musical Improv Festival, The Nestival, Dallas Comedy Festival, as well as performing in Austin and Kansas City. Along with performing improv and stand up comedy, Kendon also enjoys acting in scripted theatre and musicals where some of his highlights have been playing lead in the Knockdown Dragout's production of The Motherf*cker With The Hat"as well as perfomring as an ensemble member in Pollard Theatre's production of "In The Heights." Kendon also performs often with The City Cabaret.
