About the Business

The idea of MudPies began years ago, before I knew it, creating pies of mud decorated with beautiful flowers from our country home. As I grew my love for creating "mud pies" developed into things we could actually eat! Growing up with a German and Italian background- utilizing food grown from our garden, local farms and co-ops was important to us, and I would bake whatever I could in my Holly Hobby oven (thanks mom & dad!).

As years passed I developed a deeper passion for baking, creating, decorating, eating unique things, and running! The 'idea' of starting a business doing what I loved seemed a bit surreal, but what had I to loose? MudPies LLC began in early 2012 and first started by attending local farm markets; it has been quickly growing since.

We believe there should be something for everyone! Susan gladly work's with clients to create and adapt baked goods.

MudPies sells retail & wholesale, and is not a store front. Orders are created on an individual basis so we may best serve your needs. MudPies specializes in everything from breakfast accompaniments (scones, muffins, Kugelhopf), gourmet brownies, decorated sugar cookies, traditional cookies & shortbread cookies, and unique specialty cakes. We also offer healthy alternatives and vegan & gluten free products as well. Some of our products can be found at Heavenly Cup Cafe & Coffee Roasters in Painted Post NY, both Market Street Coffee & Tea and Dimitri's Confectionery Treats located on beautiful Market Street in Corning NY.
