We opened our door in Denver's Low Highlands neighborhood in the Fall of 2016. Bringing the first true Izakaya experience to Denver's Low Highlands neighborhood. The meaning of Izakaya is a Japanese Pub, a perfect place for after-work drinking to be enjoyed with close friends complemented by food and drinks. This experience begins as you enter our doors, to a Japanese inspired contemporary space; Mizu Izakaya strives to bring an authentic atmosphere.

Mizu Izakaya brings the freshest sushi to Denver. Our owner, Li, virtually handpicks our sushi from Japan's fish market. Literally! As the sun rises in Japan to the opening of the fish market, he connects via video call to view and pick our fish. Our menu comprises of a variety of Japanese dishes, including a full sushi bar, toriaezu (small plates), bichotan grill (Japanese charcoal grill), agemono (fried), ramen, raw bar, and oshokuyi (large plates).
