About the Business

La Locanda Ristorante Italiano, a new spot in Old Town Scottsdale re-opened its doors December 23rd, 2016 by award winning chef Andrea Volpi. Andrea Volpi founded a La Locanda in Chicago in 1989 and opened another in North Scottsdale that ran from 1994-2008. After eight years opening other restaurants in North Scottsdale and beyond Arizona, Volpi teamed up with original La Locanda chef Gugliermo Alcala and Carlos Ochoa, general manager for Morton's steakhouse, to open La Locanda. The restaurant features the work of executive chef Andrea Volpi and chef Guillermo Alcala, with drinks from Bill DeGroot. Recipes come from northern Italy, with pasta made in-house and entrees featuring local ingredients. La Locanda was and will be again, one of the Valley's premiere Italian dining destinations.
