About the Business

Hance Paint and Body has been serving The Park Cities, Uptown Dallas and surrounding communities since 1955. Roy Hance, the founder, built a strong reputation of integrity and fair trade among his customers. Roy built the shop close to SMU and supported the strong traditions and values of the community. Rob Mays and his mother, Lorraine Wire, are continuing that tradition into the 21st century. They have owned the business since 1995, upgrading with state-of-the-art repair techniques, equipment and insurance claims processing. We are in a unique location with most of our clients being second and third generation repeat customers that know we will be here to help them fix that ding or rebuild to a pre-loss condition from a major accident claim.

Rob has over 25 years in the automotive repair industry. A graduate of Florida State University, Rob moved here in 1995 and purchased the business with his family. During that time he has diversified into many automotive adventures. Opening multiple shops, working for a large Dallas luxury car dealer and becoming a licensed Texas auto dealer himself; Rob has devoted his time and energy helping his clients make smart automotive decisions, especially when it comes to insurance claims and collision repair. Not everyone is a "car nut" like Rob, but he is here to share his advice, knowledge and commitment to helping you with your car. He is the proud father of two wonderful daughters and has been happily married to his wonderful wife Libby for 25 years.
