About the Business

Guy's started as the brain child of Sam Bordonaro over 45 years ago. Along with his wife Neda they sampled products and experimented with recipes for their special oil dressing and sauce.Sam had a prototype built of a roll warmer he designed and they opened their first location on Main Street in Akron, New York in 1963. Over the years Sam and Neda added a Clarence location (corner of Main and Sheridan), a Batavia location (Main Rd) and an Italian restaurant in Akron (East Ave). They sold all their locations except the Akron sub shop on Main Street in the late 1980s.Guy's outgrew their Main Street location so Sam purchased the old Akron Theater building and renovated it. Guy's moved into the expanded location in April 1997.

People who have grown up here and have moved away make Guy's their first stop when they get into town. "There is nothing like a Guy's sub anywhere" is their comment. We agree and so will you. Guy's Subs are truly "for those who enjoy the best!"
