About the Business

The original Giovanni Ristorante resided on West 55th Street for 15 years in New York, until Owner il signore Francescotti, a frequent traveler to Nashville, was made an offer he couldn't refuse. "Jimmy [Lewis] told me he had an empty space available and it came with an apartment."

The house wines are stored in the a piece of furniture that was salvaged from storage and reworked to evoke the handmade feel of furniture made in Italy. The bar is topped with marble imported from Italy. The wall connecting the dining room to the kitchen house an opening wrapped in stacked stone allowing diners to watch the Italian chefs prepare their fare. The grand stairway wraps around a custom hand-made orange Mourn glass chandelier leading to the second level. The warm colors of Tuscany prevail in the space through the use of custom finishes. The walls are covered in authentic plaster imported from Venice and Mantova, forming the backdrop.
