A South Florida Staple! Originally founded as a Japanese retail market in the early 80's outside of Homestead AF Base before Hurricane Andrew devastated the area in '92. In 1993 Fujiya Japanese Restaurant was reborn in its current location and has become an integral part of the community. Truly a go-to place for families and friends to share authentic Japanese cuisine as the founders Harry and Chika Lively envisioned. Their son, Eddy, still runs the kitchen!

Having gained experience with high-end restaurants and celebrity chefs, Fujiya makes the perfect fit. Since the first week Fujiya opened, I was hooked. Like many guests, this is where I learned to enjoy and savor Japanese cuisine. With their casual and friendly approach, I tried many different kinds of sushi ... and fell in love with them all! Fujiya has been a part of my family since the beginning. So many happy memories.. even my son's first steps!
