107 Taste was established by Chef Yu. After Yu received her bachelor's degree in China, she went to continue study in Hospitality Management at Florida International University and received her master's degree in Hospitality Management in 2011. the first 107 Taste in February 2016, in Westchester, FL on 107th Ave right across FIU's main campus. Since then, this couple has been working even harder because they want to bring gourmet food to more people in South FL. The second location of 107 Taste opened in March 2019 at Miami Lakes, FL; the third location opened at the end of 2019 at Plantation, FL; the fourth location opened at the end of 2021 at Brickell, FL; and the fifth location will be open at the beginning of 2022 at Coral Gables, FL. The menus of 107 Taste are carefully prepared with unique and trendy Asian food and traditional Asian flavors. Guest service and satisfaction are their top priority, and the first thing in the company's core value is "Be a host!"

Chef Yu was raised by her grandparents in a small village in northwestern China. Her grandmother worked as a chef for more than 20 years, and her grandfather's family owned a well-known local restaurant in Szechuan, China, back in the 1930s. Childhood memories are filled with her grandparents' care, and she grew up with her grandmother's unbeatable love meal. Due to her grandparents' impact, little Yu started learning and cooking for herself at the age of 8 not only because she is interested in food, but also because she has a passion for cooking good food for families and friends. After Yu received her bachelor's degree in China, she went to continue study in Hospitality Management at Florida International University (FIU) and received her master's degree in Hospitality Management in 2011.
