A rustic Roman-style trattoria, opened April 2009 in Nolita. Emporio, which means "local grocery store" in Italian, will offer Roman fare, wine and retail selections. All fare are carefully crafted from indigenous Italian and local ingredients. Managed by the same team responsible for the successful Aurora Brooklyn and Aurora Soho restaurants

Elena Fabiani moved from Italy in 1998 to work in the restaurant business, became a General Manager in 2000 of "The Half King"  restaurant/pub in Chelsea, owned by Sebastian Yunger (author of "The Perfect Storm") left on 2003 to Open Aurora Williamsburg, 2007 Aurora Soho, same concept slightly more upscale, 2009 Emporio.
