About the Business

I began as a small 2-man operation and within two years I was able to buy a second moving company to expand my business. Eventually, in 2004, I merged the two companies under the Economovers banner to simplify operations. I have been a Sarasota Small Business Award finalist and the first President of the former Manasota Movers Association. Also served as a Sarasota Better Business Council Complaint Investigator for 17 years and served 3-year term on the Manatee County BBC Ethics Board. Nearing 33 years in business locally, I have found that our motto of "Excellence is our only standard" has served me and my customers well.

Many mover years ago I had worked for a diffrent Sarasota moving company for 7-months, the moving crews were good...the problem was the front office. I decided that I could do it better and set out to prove it...and I did. Since 1991, I've established a solid, well-grounded Bradenton and Sarasota business that places an emphasis on customer satisfaction and employee quality. Four years as a U.S. Army Paratrooper and NCO taught me the value of paying attention to details without compromising the ability of the moving crew to complete a job without having to be micromanaged. Great staffers are everything in a business like this...if they treat the customer well, then everything else falls into place. My Bradenton and Sarasota customers have been some of my greatest supporters who have consistently  sent me repeat business and new business...many have stayed in touch over the years as friends which has been a unique part of working with consumers
