About the Business

My family has had pita restaurants in the Highlands since 1995. I remember taking the short bus ride from Highland Middle school to my dads first location on Eastern Parkway and Baxter Ave. I grew up cooking, serving and eating authentic and traditional recipes that were handed down from my Grandmother in the old country. One thing my Dad always stressed were spices. He was old school never using a measuring cup or spoon everything was to taste. He would tell me "grab a spoon, can you taste the lemon juice and cumin?".

Growing up in the Highlands I have seen the local community calling for Fresh, healthy and lots of Vegan/Vegetarian options. So naturally I wanted to create a menu to cater to that niche. We use small all natural white meat chicken breasts with NO hormones. Our Pita is made fresh daily with NO preservatives or additives.

Everything we make here at Eat A Pita has that same love and passion for flavourful, fresh authentic Mediterranean. I hope you enjoy!

We have a blend of Mediterranean and International cuisine. Specializing in Gyros, Gourmet Pitas and Kabobs. Serving made from scratch traditional recipes like Hummus, Baba Ghanouj, Tzatziki and Falafel. Live Belly Dancing every other weekend. Dates posted on the website and Facebook. $2 Mimosas and $4 Bloody Mary bar Saturday and Sunday Brunch from 1030am - 4pm. Our Hercules size is the biggest pita in town!! Try it as a traditional Gyro, Shwarma or maybe a local favorite like the Philly Cheese Steak or Chicken Teriyaki all served on our fresh baked Pita. We have a great Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten free selection as well. You can eat Healthy and Delicious here! We Cater and Deliver!
