About the Business

Duane's Body & Paint, Inc. was started by Duane Scott in a rented space in the back of a motorcycle shop in 1976. The business proved to be a success and Duane was able to purchase the building at the existing location of 6546 Belleau Wood Lane in Southwest Sacramento in 2002..
In 2003, Duane decided he was ready to move on to other things and sold the business to the current owners, Erik and Kerrie Kohler. Erik started his career in the collision repair industry sweeping floors at another local shop in 1990. He worked his way up at that shop and trained as a body repair technician and later as a paint technician. He continued his training at another shop in town until he was hired by Duane as a body repair technician in 1997. The following year he trained as a collision estimator and was then promoted to Shop Manager. The business has continued to grow and has now expanded into the building at 6500 Belleau Wood Lane for a total of 35,000 square feet.

Erik K. (Business Owner)

Erik started his career in the collision repair industry sweeping floors at another local shop in 1990. He worked his way up at that shop and trained as a body repair technician and later as a paint technician. He continued his training at another shop in town until he was hired by Duane as a body repair technician in 1997. The following year he trained as a collision estimator and was then promoted to Shop Manager.  Erik now owns the shop with his wife, Kerrie.  They continue as a family owned business serviing the Sacramento area.
