We are proud to say we are Bristols oldest and longest serving Indian Restaurant. We can also tell you that founder Mohammed Mashuk was Bristols very first Indian Restaurateur when he opened The Star Of India in the early 60's.

Established in 1983 by the late Mohammed Mashuk, our restaurant has gone from strength to strength having won the Gold Award from Quality Food Online Ltd for its outstanding achievement and contribution to the pursuit of excellent food and service. We are a fully licensed & air conditioned restaurant With an emphasis on refined yet creative Indian cuisine. Come dine with us in our stylish restaurant and take in the beautiful ambience of one of Bristol's oldest restaurants which has been fantastically refurbished, gone are the flock wallpapers and sticky carpets you'll find fresh colours on our walls, oak on the floors and smiles from all our staff :) We started out as a takeaway when our doors 1st opened and we haven't lost our roots we still do a take-away service with 10% DISCOUNT but we also provide a free home delivery service covering the whole of south Bristol! (minimum order £15.00).

The Late Mohammed Mashuk is the original founder and owner of the Curry House, before his passing in March of 1999 he was head chef of the Curry House and had been since opening in 1983, before this he was owner of The Star of India (old bond st) which he ran from the early 60s into the late 70s before briefly returning to his native Bangladesh to get Married to Shahara Mashuk mother of his 6 children, 2 girls and 4 boys, keeping with tradition the 4 boys have inherited the business and still run it just how their father would of wanted.
