On the little corner in the fast growing trendy Williamsburg, Chai has quickly become popular among its neighborhood from the very good affordable food, fine atmosphere and excellent service. The success of Chai at Williamsburg lead to the opening of Chai Home Kitchen at Midtown West, Manhattan in February 2007. Born and raised in thailand, owner and executive chef Amornrat Aksaranan brought with her Thai traditional family recipe when she first move to NYC. She followed her passion by enrolling in the Culinary Program at the Art Institute. After graduating, she began training in New York City and landed her first job at the Mercer Kitchen.
