About the Business

Campbell Ford was opened in 1920 at a livery shop on Albert Street in Ottawa and received a Ford franchise the following year. The dealership was owned and operated by Roy Campbell until 1960, when he was succeeded by his son Manson. In 1976 the dealership was purchased by Wilfred Hoddinott and is now run by his son Gordon.

The dealership has been in four different locations; the original Albert Street location, followed by a dealership on Slater Street, one on Laurier which featured an internal drive lane which led to a second story service department, to the current location at the Carling exit on the Queensway (Hwy 417.) The current location features a large modern building that house all departments on sight, including separate new Ford and used vehicle showrooms, a wholesale leasing division, commercial and fleet vehicle sales, Ford Genuine service department, commercial truck service, a two story parts department a Fix Auto body shop and a full service cafeteria.

Established in 1920.
