About the Business
Cambridge Athletic Club has been a fitness leader in the Boston/Cambridge area since 1980 when it started as Cambridge Racquetball Club. Over the years, it evolved into Cambridge Racquet & Fitness, and finally the Cambridge Athletic Club. Located in the heart of Kendall Square (walking distance to T: Kendall/MIT on red line, Lechmere on green line) and just across the Charles River from Boston, CAC is your gateway to the active lifestyle you've been searching for. We have the most current and up-to-date equipment: a full deck of cardio machines ( treadmills, elliptical machines, spin bikes, recumbent bikes, Stairmasters, rowing machines, stepmills) equipped with personal TV's, a spacious weight floor with a plethora of free weights, machines, squat racks, and lifting platforms, group exercise studios, yoga/pilates studio, basketball court, and squash courts.

Ed Soul began his health club career in 1982 at the Cambridge Racquetball Club where he was promoted to General Manger in 1986. After managing the club for 11 years Ed purchased the company in 1997. The club is now known as Cambridge Athletic Club and recently won the Reader's choice award for best club in Metro Boston in 2010. It is managed by Carla Schneckenburger. Categories
