About the Business
In 2002, it may well have seemed that the health club market was saturated, and yet this did not stop Chuck Runyon and Jeff Klinger looking to make their own mark in this market. To this end they came up with the idea for Anytime Fitness.
The two co-founders realized that whilst many existing gyms were coming up with new gimmicks, often focused around the introduction of technology, there was something that gym users were really looking for. This missing element was that people were looking for a convenient gym.
Anytime Fitness is a very fitting name, and with the establishment of a new chain of gyms, Klinger and Runyon decided that the gyms should be open around the clock. This would allow everyone to be able to fit a trip to the gym around their busy lifestyles.
