James Purcell was born in Detroit and moved to Maine. After 12 years carpentry experience, he opened Better Homes Building Company in Milford, MI which became one of the top 500 remodeling companies in the nation. He later opened a second office called Garland Resorts which purchased land, developed, designed built and sold high end custom housing.
