Accurate Safe and Lock was established in Seattle in 1952 by Boyd Murphy, or as everyone knew him, "Murp." When Murp retired he sold the business to Al Bergman, who in turn sold it to Russell Willis. In 1998 Murp's niece Yvonne Murphy Barbour brought the business back into the family. When Yvonne was in high school she would cut keys for her uncle so that he could run service calls. He taught her how to rekey locks and do other miscellaneous lock work. When she later married a locksmith, they bought the business because it had maintained its integrity and great reputation. Yvonne is now the sole owner and maintains the businesses' excellent name and standing. She prides herself on her dedication to her customer's safety and security. Accurate Safe & Lock is now located on West Roy in Queen Anne. Feel free to stop by, Yvonne always makes time to chat with her customers.
