Brian Ott studied Zen Buddhism from a western master which eventually led him to live in Japan, where he fell in love with the Eastern aesthetic and its approach to design.  He has been designing and building gardens in the Bay Area for over 20 years.  While he thoroughly enjoys the creative process and working with his hands outdoors, the most rewarding aspect of his work is when clients share their new found joy of being outside, playing in their garden.   Brian and his family recently moved to Western Marin, yet he continues to do a majority of his work in San Francisco.
