About the Business

A long long time ago a band had to go on tour and they lived in NYC. They bought a van but the band broke up. Since then, Christian started moving people under a different name . Gibbs Moving Co. . When he decided to go into moving 100% he changed the name to Wooly Mammoth Movers (see "Meet The Owner).

Established in 2001.

Business Owner

Christian G. (Manager)

With hair as curly as a Wooly Mammoth (hence the name), Christian moved to NYC from San Diego years ago and bought a van for $300 with his band . Friends started calling for help to move them. After the umpteenth free move Christian and bandmates had an idea-"why don't we move people/things with our van for $ inbetween tours to help pay for recording our records!" Lo and behold, Atlantic signed Christian and he bought a brand new van that he christened the Green Capsule. With a hiatus from van jobs, he moved to L.A. and became a rock cliche. Finding himself back in New York, he continued growing his van business inbetween tours bringing in other like minded artists to help. With another auspicious turn of events Christian found himself playing guitar in a Broadway Musical in which his Wooly hair was a focal point. With the decent pay from Broadway, and help of his musician friends Christian did the unthinkable they bought a HUGE Sprinter Van taking turns doing odd jobs in it.
