About the Business

Weatherization Experts (the Company) was formed in 1998 to provide cellulose insulation to the greater Oklahoma City area housing industry. After 21 years of construction experience, the owner and founder of the company, Todd L. Cox, became interested in cellulose while preparing to build his personal home. His research showed that Fiberglass was a vastly underperforming product when compared to cellulose, even though Fiberglass dominated the housing industry. In addition to the performance issue, he discovered that Fiberglass posed health risks and fire hazards not associated with cellulose, which also has mold, mildew, and insect repellent properties. These characteristics had special meaning and importance to Todd, who was, and now retired after 22 years as an Oklahoma City firefighter with highly specialized hazardous materials and EMT training.
