Business Owner

Sara N. (Business Owner)

Sara is of Vietnamese descent and a southern California native.  Growing up with the year round abundance of the Santa Monica farmers market - and in a family of avid home cooks where eating was considered an art - her passions became clear early on. After high school, she moved to New York City to attend the Institute of Culinary Education and upon graduation, continued her culinary education in high-end kitchens from Per Se to Café des Artistes.  In 2007, she appeared on season 3 of Top Chef as the youngest contestant on the show, and in 2008, moved to Chicago to open Sprout, as sous chef alongside Chef Dale Levitski, whom she met on Top Chef. Missing New York, she returned as a freelance consultant and cook for clients including Murray's Cheese and Tasting Table.  Wangs is her first independent venture.
