About the Business
Vivace originally opened on the corner of Vulcan lane and High Street in Norfolk House. In 2000 we moved to larger premises opposite the top of Durham lane. This enabled us to expand to have three private rooms, our balcony overlooking High Street and our rear smoking courtyard.

Vivace is in the heart of the city. It is open from Midday until late Monday to Friday and from 5pm until late on Saturday. The menu is predominantly Mediterranean with a large selection of tapas and a full a la carte menu . It has one of the largest selections of wines by the glass in the city centre and we welcome people who just wish to come in for a casual drink either on our sunny balcony, in our smoking courtyard or sitting by our open fireplace. We have three private rooms available seating 14,16 and 20 people with no room hire charges. The menu has a large selection of vegetarian options and we have a separate allergy menu for those with specialist dietary requirements. The ambience is casual, relaxed and spacious. The restaurant is in one of the cities older warehouses and has high ceilings, polished wooden floors and the furniture is made from recycled heart Rimu & wrought Iron.
