About the Business
We are an eco-friendly, vegan salon owned by a husband & wife team. We have been in Clintonville for 9 years. We started out across the street in a much smaller space, where we stayed for our first 5 years. Our Team has grown from 2 to 26 and is full of talented, creative, compassionate individuals. All of our hairdressers have been through our in-house training program. Their levels are based on the hairdresser's experience and time here at Virtue. We pride ourselves in listening to and understanding our guests, which is why we always do a complimentary color consultation for any new guest, prior to booking their color service. We do tons of continuing education inside and outside of the salon and also community outreach and fundraisers.

Melanie has been behind the chair for almost 16 years. She has an art degree from OSU and had plans to either become an art teacher or join the military when she graduated college. She never thought she would own a salon, but in 2010, she opened Virtue Salon. Over the years, Melanie and her growing team evolved and became educators themselves. Melanie rallied together those on our team who were most interested in educating to officially form the Stay Sharp Nation team. They have had the opportunity to teach over numerous classes and several hair shows. Virtue is founded on principles that are grounded in teamwork, communication, and a desire to continue learning and led by a selfless, driven, silly, and passionate leader for whom we could not be more thankful.
