Before Vasco, owner Trevor Dakin and his daughter Heidi had Hooton Lodge restaurant in Hooton Roberts and before that Nino's Restaurant on the Tanyard at Wickersley. "We missed the buzz of Wickersley and when 169 Bawtry Road came on the market we snapped it up and turned it into a modern stylish bar on the ground floor and a beautiful restaurant upstairs. Our intention being to give the area a new venue to match anywhere in Sheffield without the taxi fare"

We are a family run casual dining Restaurant and Lounge Bar offering food of the highest quality with a difference. Everything is made from scratch using only fresh in season ingredients locally sourced wherever possible. We make our own daily bread; we make our own desserts and our own ice creams. The Bar has 11 wines available by the glass including Prosecco, 2 ales and 5 lagers on draught including Krombacher - a German pilsner made using spring water. We cater for Special Occasions; eg. WeddingBreakfasts,Christenings/Baptisms, in fact any excuse for a celebration!
