About the Business

Who doesn't like to laugh? I love to laugh. I don't like foul language, profanity or dirty jokes. I hate comedy clubs that seem more interested in twisting arms to buy overpriced appetizers and alcoholic beverages than they are in bringing a quality show.

When we moved to Southern Arizona, were unable to find any comedy venues that provided clean comedy. We have gone about to change that!!

MaranaLaughs is convinced that by replacing vulgarity with a variety of performers who say "No" to G.R.R.O.S.S. material (gender bashing, racially & religiously offensive jokes, obscenity, sexual innuendo, & swearing) you don't have to be worried about embarrassing your family and friends or reputation. We simply do not do blue or off color material. This is the type of show that you could bring your mother to without worry. A typical show will run 90 to 100 minutes and will include an MC, an opener, a feature act & the headliner who will almost always have had exposure on national TV.

By removing the crass, crude, rude, profane and vulgar, the comedy improves; the stories are more interesting and the comedians have greater confidence because it is more powerful to say something without swearing and they must rely entirely on the strength of their writing and the story they wish to tell.
