Don moved to Austin in 1978 to attend the University of Texas and never left. Twomey Auto Works was founded one year later and the business has steadily grown over time. He has two children that were born and raised in Austin as well, attending Westlake and TCU. He is a friend to the small business community and has been a volunteer teacher at the Texas School for the Deaf where he taught the body shop class.
