The business is named Trotters since the bar is sited on an old Pig market. The bar has been in place for a number of years but the Kennedy brothers only took over in 2008 and have turned the bar into a thriving weekday lunchtime and early evening rendezvous location and one of Colchester's most sought after Saturday private party venue.

As we enter our 5th year in charge we have achieved one of our main aims to become the most sought after party venue in Colchester. We are booked out most Saturdays so you need to book well in advance but there are a few odd dates still available so get in touch ASAP. We are also starting to take more bookings for Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays as most Saturdays get booked up so quickly. We took over the business in 2008. Mark has been chef at Trotters for over 10 years and knows the business inside out. Andrew is a professional chemist and is the more silent partner in the business. The turnover has increased by 50% in the 5 years since we took over in December 2008 which in the current climate is an achievement we are truly proud of.
