Trattoria Contadina has been serving up Italian cuisine in North Beach since 1984. We are committed to using organic produce and sustainable-raised meats and wild fish whenever possible.

As you walk into Trattoria Contadina, you will feel the charm and smell the aromas that you would experience in a trattoria in Italy. With our open kitchen, you will have the opportunity to view our kitchen staff as they prepare the highly-acclaimed food that you will be served.

Some of our customers' favorite dishes include il diavolo penne with spicy tomato sauce and fresh burrata cheese; Rocky's homemade meatballs - as an appetizer or on classic spaghetti with tomato sauce; our homemade ricotta gnocchi with tomato cream or blue cheese cream sauce; and our famous appetizer - roasted bell pepper stuffed with Italian cheese and covered in a tomato cream sauce. After Gina returned from culinary-arts study abroad in 2000, this Bay Area native found employment at Trattoria Contadina. Gina joined the management team where she worked for two years as an assistant manager. In 2004, she took the position of general manager at Trattoria Contadina. Kevin is a third generation of Contadina. His passion for food has been nurtured throughout his life by his family's restaurant, Trattoria Contadina. Kevin has held every position available there, starting as a dishwasher and back-up bus boy, working his way through the ranks to bar manager and certified mixologist. Married in 2011 Kevin and Gina became third generation owners. Keeping traditions alive!
