About the Business

After working in London through the 1950’s and 60’s my father: Tony: decided to move south to settle with his family and then two children, a few years later that increased to 4. In 1966 he opened in Highcliffe Salon 282 to much acclaim and continued there for more than ten years during which time he opened another premises in Sway.
He moved the Highcliffe branch to a more central location in 1984 and opened in New Milton in 1985.
Dad suffered a heart attack in late 1985 and not long after consolidated his business to just one salon. I joined in 1989 and spent 7 happy years working with both him and my sister Erica until Dad died in 1996 only 61 years old.
I took over the business with Erica now working for me, we continued with his teachings embracing the apprenticeship schemes and employing from local schools.
In 2010 I expanded into what is now our headquarters in Christchurch and the business has continued to grow. Some of the first clients in 1966 still come in.
