Having grown up in Brooklyn, NY in the 70's i worked in 2 candy stores and had lots of candy that a lot of other areas never heard of. and although i may not be from the midwest,southeast or west coast i know more about candy and old time life than most people in business for there life time. the way to do this is to have a passion for the business you are in. and i definately have a deep passion for my store. I have been in the retail gourmet/candy business for over 20yrs. and i have loved and still Love every minute of it. i travel to many trade shows around the globe to find treats edible n non edible to please the customer.i return from shows all excited to show customers my finds. i especially get excited to find something that is making a comeback from days gone by, it could be a candy or a toy.
