About the Business

In all ten years of his college studies, Jason Perez was introduced to the term "topher" by his humanities professor and knew instantly that down the road he would own a bar called the The Thirsty Topher. The word "topher" represents someone that has many interests and is known as the life of the party. After two years of hunting for the right spot, Jason and his business partner Ron discovered a "shed" in between two warehouses off Alden Road. They invested a year to transform the shed into an elevated beer and wine bar. Using their 25 years of combined bar industry and Perezs' eventual earth science degree, they bring a touch of old Florida to Ivanhoe Village.

Hidden away on Alden Road, you can expect to find a neighborhood bar with indoor and outdoor spaces to converse. The 2500 year old pecky cypress wood bar top soothes the soul and was designed with social interaction in mind. Selection of craft beers, drafts, domestics, imports, boutique wines, house made Sangria, and mead (honey wine for shots)
