THE SHAPE OF LIES® is one of the few Mom & Pop residential stores left in New York's East Village. We can boast both an original tin ceiling and a real wooden screen door. As our neighbors know; when the lights on you can always knock for gifting emergencies....we live in back.

We're 98% made right here in Manhattan. Showcasing local talent is our way of keeping locally based fabricators alive and kicking while supporting local designers. We host only twelve designers in the shop so each has enough room to strut their stuff. We carry our own Ancient Artisans collection of museum replica jewelry and our friends make the fashion. Lastly we sell vintage lockets of most unusual design. The majority are dated from 1800's to 1910's
